Two more people are now in custody related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to police.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

These detentions come after a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later discharged.

Officers arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several people injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
